Sales App
Challenge
Barilla needed to overcome the traditional approach based on sending weekly sales data via email with Excel attachments. The goal was to make access to information more immediate and intuitive, especially for management, which required a platform that was easy to use and accessible even on the move. The main challenge was to ensure clear use of the data with a progressive level of detail and to maintain access available even offline. Furthermore, the system had to promptly notify the presence of new data and allow centralized access control for safe and effective user management.
Solution
We have created a native app designed for smartphones and tablets, which allows the consultation of sales data through a navigation with successive in-depth analyses. The app presents an initial screen with a summary of all the products and individual families, allowing access to the details. To ensure security and practicality, an initial login with memorable credentials has been implemented. Thanks to online synchronization and offline mode, access to the data is always available, while push notifications indicate the presence of new updates. User and permission management takes place via a dedicated CMS, while contextual tutorials facilitate the use of the app, making it an essential tool for management.
Result
The implementation of the new app has radically transformed the process of consulting weekly sales data, making it faster, more intuitive and accessible. Management now has a tool that allows for faster decisions based on updated data, with a significant saving of time compared to the previous system based on email and Excel files. The ability to manage access centrally and the possibility of consulting data even offline have helped consolidate the app as an extremely useful tool.
